Board of Directors BIO’s

President – Mary Meyer resides in the Gateway community located in Frankfort. Mary has lived in Gateway for 19 years and also served on the Gateway Homeowners Association as Secretary four years, then President. Mary retired from Sears after 35 years. She held various positions, accounting Supervisor for 25 years, as well as merchandise analyst for 10 years. Mary was married for 26 years and has six children.

Legislative Liaison – 

Secretary – Ralph Sporck resides at the Shady Oaks community located in Minooka since 2004, and previously lived in a manufactured home in CT for about 10 years. He has volunteered since 1986 with various nonprofits: Literacy Volunteers of America, Jaycee’s , A.D.O.P.T animal shelter, Naperville  and currently with the Will County Historical Museum in Lockport for 5 years. Hobbies include data entry, crocheting, and playing board games.

Treasurer – Halina Myers resides in the Pheasant Lake Estates community located in Beecher. Halina is the mother of two daughters, a retired nurse of 30 years and has lived in Pheasant Lake Estates for 3 years. She was involved in a California rent stabilization action that took effect last summer, organized by the MHAction organization.

Ralph Pierce has recently retired and lives in the Beach Park Community located in the Village of Beach Park for 4 years. Ralph was instrumental in forming the Beach Park Homeowners and serves as their President. While recently retired, Ralph continues working part time.

Don Buff resides in the Oak Ridge community located in Manteno for the past three years. Don is a retired school teacher, serving for 40 years. During those years, Don also held a position in two school districts as a District Negotiation Representative. Don is married and has two children.
