MHOAI First Annual Fund Raiser is a Success

On September 23, MHOAI held its first annual fund raiser at the Bon Vivant Country Club in Bourbonnais. Ninety six golfers descended on the course and swung their way through 18 holes of golf on one of the most beautiful days of the year. MHOAI volunteers were on hand to give assistance to all attendees.

After all the golfers returned and were accounted for, the Bon Vivant pavilion was the setting for a barbeque dinner where prizes were awarded to the golfers and the winning raffle tickets were drawn. The day was great, the food great and the day ended with smiles on everyone's face.

The event raised some much needed funds for MHOAI. The funds will allow MHOAI to continue to represent you in Springfield and to work for legislative enhancements and other laws to protect mobile/manufactured homeowners. Proceeds will go towards the costs that occur in running our tax exempt non-profit organization.

The proceeds will also allow MHOAI volunteers to continue moving forward with shared common goals that allow our organization to continue improving the quality of life for thousands of homeowners who reside in manufactured home communities located in Illinois. This fun filled day also allows MHOAI to continue helping seniors on fixed incomes and low income families statewide who live in our housing market that other organizations may not attach importance to.

Two political representatives joined us, State Representative Lisa Dugan's daughter and Nella Piccolin of the Will County Board and her husband joined us for the BBQ dinner and awards.

MHOAI wishes to thank everyone who attended and helped make the benefit a success. MHOAI extends a special thanks to all our Sponsors and the very hard work of the Chairperson Pat Fogerty and homeowners from Golf Vista in Monee, Oak Ridge in Manteno, Gateway in Frankfort and Maple Brook in Matteson for organizing the event. Thanks also to all the volunteers from various communities who helped the day’s events go smoothly. The first "annual" fund raiser exceeded all expectations.
