Our 4th annual fundraiser can present another successful story with a great turn out and homeowner's state wide doing their part. While our organization is made up of volunteers there are still many costs that occur. MHOAI directors understand that we must work towards income in addition to relying on our membership. Many non-profit organizations in Illinois and nation-wide have dissolved due to lack of funding that they once received from sources that no longer have the money to share. With the help of our membership and others, MHOAI does not need to join the list of dissolved organizations.

Those that attended and supported our fundraisers in the past know what a great job the fundraiser committees have achieved. With the support of sponsors and homeowners, this year will be just as successful allowing MHOAI to continue moving forward towards another year of achieving our goals.

Like other volunteer non-profit membership type organizations, the costs to keep the organization active, moving forward and effective must find financial resources other than individual membership cost. In our case the majority of our membership is low to moderate fixed income families. This is an annual fundraiser that looks for business sponsors. We need people that will go to their local businesses and explain the benefits that come with donating to our organization. You can go to local florists and garden centers, pet store, dry cleaners, printers, insurance agents, and local restaurants. One of the benefits a sponsor receives is advertisement that is seen by their local and/or state-wide customers in the form of our newsletter and website. Their company name will be placed on signs at the fundraiser and seen by those that participate in this event. The next time you are at a local business in your area, ask if their business would like to participate. The cost to sponsors is less than the cost of a local newspaper ad or yellow pages. Not to forget the many families that we will continue to help. There is a deadline of July 19th to purchase dinner tickets for $25, and have signs made for sponsors.

Reserve your dinner reservation and/or sign up business sponsors on this form (PDF). MHOAI would like to thank the many volunteers in advance for their time and the work they have graciously put towards this event.
