Bloomington Homeowners in Uproar

Twin City and Greenwood communities located in Bloomington have homeowners in an uproar. In Twin City the landlord has so many health code violations the city will not renew his license and has informed homeowners that they will close down the community.

Twin City recently formed a homeowners association to deal with their situation, a homeowner’s nightmare. There have been several meetings with local officials and organizations to get help. It was recently learned of a possibility that a local business man is looking into buying the community.

MHOAI, Prairie Legal, Path and others will continue working with homeowners. Meanwhile, there are homeowners in Greenwood who received a notice they have to move their homes in order for the landlord to make renovations. You know, just hook it to your car and move it. MHOAI, Prairie Legal, Path and other organizations will be meeting with homeowners the last week of April. It is our hope that once we meet with homeowners the landlord will work something more realistic regarding his plans. The managers of these communities are not returning calls.
